Tis the season of giving to family, friends, and most importantly, to heroes in the military who keep us safe.
One of our favorite customers Jeff Annis, along with other members of his Advanced Services/ Bug Stopper team, sent a dozen large pound cakes to Camp Leatherneck, a Marine Camp in Afghanistan where three of his former bug stoppers are stationed. This camp is on the front lines, and he knew that they would see to the proper delivery of the cakes.
The email below is from Alicia, a former Bug Stopper, concerning the cakes and their delivery:
“Jeff,
I wanted to personally thank you for the cakes and I am grateful I got to be a part in delivering them to our Soldiers. Playing Santa was the best gift that my co-workers and I could receive.
Tommy, my co-workers, and I discussed which Units should receive the cakes, and decided we would like the Troops who are on the front lines and running missions constantly to have them. I believe we made the right choices. The amazement on their faces that they were thought of touched us all. I wish I could have gotten a picture of their initial reactions–they were priceless.
Although I was unable to get pictures of all the groups we delivered to, I hope you’ll enjoy the smiles of the ones I did get.
Once again, Thank You! Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas!
Respectfully,
Alicia”
I am thankful for Alicia, Tommy, and all the troops who protect us; for loyal, thoughtful customers like Jeff who support our Treats for Troops Program, and for all who have sent a treat to a troop or a VeryVera cake to someone who needed some holiday cheer. This is what Christmas is all about. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
